New Beginnings

We are beginning our new adventure!

We just moved about 26 miles from Fayetteville Arkansas. Our new home is on 7 acres with a 1500 sq ft home.At the moment we are renting, kind of dipping our feet in to the longer commute. We will be putting in organic gardens, building a chicken coop to raise chicks in and putting up fences for the calf we want to get in the spring. My husband and I both grew up raising animals but our kids have always lived in the city. This will be an eye-opening experience for them.

Our family wants to learn to be as self-sufficient as possible, relying on our own ingenuity and know how. Gardening, canning, raising our animals from beginning to end. Knowing what goes on and into everything that lives on this place.

We home school our 8 and  10 yr old dds. Z(10) is a diabetic so it is so much easier not to deal with a school schedule on top of her health issues. At the moment we are very eclectic in our approach to school but will probably go to Oak Meadow or Global Village in the next year. I just became an ambassador for Barefoot Books. They have so many wonderful books and I look forward to showing them to everyone.
